Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, sports related injuries, athletes, sore shoulders or just people who prefer a deeper massage. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

Some people prefer a deep tissue massage as opposed to a classic massage. Your therapist will be glad to discuss with you if a deep tissue massage is best for you as in some cases it can be contradicted. Unlike most massage studios, we do not charge more for this service!
